Cancer Advocate, Founder and CEO of SimpalUK

Chris Lewis is a cancer advocate, founder and CEO of SimpalUK, a charity tackling digital poverty by keeping people connected when illness, poverty, or crisis puts them at risk of being cut off.

After being diagnosed with a rare blood cancer and given only six months to live, Chris turned his experience into a lifelong commitment to supporting others. His work began in cancer advocacy, giving a voice to people affected by serious illness and helping organisations understand the real-life challenges patients and families face.

That work revealed a growing problem: too many people were being left behind because they could not afford to stay connected. Through SimpalUK, Chris now helps provide free prepaid SIM cards, mobile data, and phones where possible to people living with cancer, serious illness, poor health, poverty, or social exclusion.

His message is simple: in a digital world, connection is not a luxury. It is a lifeline.
